Goregaon: Much awaited film ‘Adipurush’ starring Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan and Prabhas has gone on floors today. Bahubali famed actor Prabhas took his social media handle to announce the film. However, according to reports a level 2 fire broke out on the film’s set today at around 4 pm. There were close to 50-60 people present when the incident took place. The shooting was taking place at Film City in Goregaon. Fortunately, no casualties are reported so far.
According to reports eight fire engines, five jumbo tankers, one water tanker, and a JCB have been sent by the Mumbai fire Brigade to control the fire. Currently, the situation seems to be under control and the fire fighting operations is underway. The cause of the fire is reportedly to be a short circuit on the set.
Taking about film, last year Prabhas has Announced that he will be teaming up with Bollywood director Om Raut for a 3D film titled Adipurush. The first-look poster was unveiled in August 2020.
Adipurush is said to be the adaptation of the Indian epic that revolves around the triumph of good over evil. According to Hindu mythology, Lord Ram is also addressed as Adi Purusha. Prabhas will be seen playing the role of Lord Rama and Saif will play the role of Lankesh, the demon King Ravan, in the film.
The movie is bankrolled by Bhushan Kumar, CMD of T-series. The film will be made on a whopping budget of Rs 400 crore. A huge amount of the money will be spent on VFX, which will be an important part of the film. Adipurush will reportedly be shot entirely using the green mat technology seen in several Hollywood films. The makers have roped in VFX supervisors of Avatar and Star Wars to work on the graphics of the film.
