Hyderabad: On Wednesday, the direct air services of Alliance Air between Hyderabad and Hubli were resumed by the GMR Hyderabad International Airport Limited (GHIAL).
According to reports, on Wednesday, at around 6:36 am, an Alliance Air aircraft was taken off from the International airport. This flight took the number of domestic destination to 57 from Hyderabad.
A 70-seater ATR 72 600 was deployed by Alliance Air on the sector. The departed Flight No 91 897 took off from Hyderabad to Hubli at 6.25 am and will reach the destination by 8 am.
Flight No. 9I 880, in the return will depart from Hubli at around 8:25 am and will reach to Hyderabad by 9:55 am. The flight service is scheduled to operate for three times in a week, which is on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. This flight service by Alliance Air is wholly owned subsidiary of Air India.
Pradeep Panicker, CEO of GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd, while talking on the occasion said that, “These services which were launched under UDAN (Ude Desh ka Aam Nagrik), the regional connectivity scheme launched by the Government of India to enhance air connectivity to tier 2 and tier 3 cities, are very crucial in re-establishing connectivity with metros”.
